SUHRIM Announces New Guitarist
December 17, 2008Belgian death metallers SUHRIM have announced the addition of guitarist Pieter Vandeputte (BATTALION) to the group's ranks. Vandeputte joins the band as the replacement for Thomas Bleys, who exited SUHRIM in July "due to a series of events."
SUHRIM is currently in pre-production for its new, as-yet-untitled album, which is slated for a October 2009 release through Shiver Records.
The band recently recorded a cover of PESTILENCE's song "Out Of The Body" (from the 1989 album "Consuming Impulse"),which will be featured on the seventh instalment of DeathMetal.be's "Face Your Underground" series.
SUHRIM's third album, "Happy Hour", was released last year via Shiver. The CD was recorded at Hertz Studios (VADER, HATE, DECAPITATED) in Bialystok, Poland with the acclaimed producer duo Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawscy. The cover art and layout was created by Swedish artist Carlos Holmberg (SOILWORK, SCARVE, TERROR 2000).
